We certainly feel the heat but made the best of it. We headed to Salthill to the beach and promenade.
Parking is almost always a challenge here. There is rarely parking lots, and if there are, they are small. So people park just about any where they can find a spot. Its a bit chaotic and maneuvering around randomly parked cars on narrow streets is a challenge. We've taken to parking a long way away and walking to our destination to save the headache.
We had a nice lunch by the beach and then visited the little aquarium. Too hot to stay on the beach for any length of time so we headed back to the house by mid afternoon.
We needed something for dinner so popped into the local butcher and then stopped into the small store on the corner. These stores are all over Ireland. An odd mix of a convenience store and a grocery store, with lots of junk food, a few aisles of canned goods and prepackaged baking, and a meat counter. We grabbed things to fill our cooler for the road trip to Belfast tomorrow.
