We updated our trip map for your viewing pleasure. Try this If you zoom in you can see that we followed the secondary highway on the north side (Washington) side of the Columbia River to get to The Dalles. Glad we did.
By the way...last night at 7:30 it was still 100 degrees. I guess that comment about driving through hell yesterday wasn't that far off!
We're headed out early this morning. We'll be taking one of the most scenic by-ways in the US along the Columbia River gorge. We're pretty pumped because the stretch of road we'll be on is considered one of the top 1000 things to see before you die....not that we are planning on dying anytime soon, Mom.
