There is a definite culture surrounding the world of motorcycles. We are learning about it bit by bit. The one thing, however, that still is a bit of a mystery for me is what my role is. I mean, what part do I play? When talking about motorcycles with someone they will ask, "Do you ride?" Now, I get that Rob will say yes. Seems pretty straight forward. However, I'm not sure I ride.
The first time I said "yes" to that question I very quickly realized that the onslaught of questions and conversation that came afterward pointed to a serious error with my answer. OK, so I don't actually operate the motorcycle. I sit on the back. So how do I define myself? The passenger? Seems a little too boring and simple. I'm the motorcycle mama? Hmmm...doesn't really suit me. The biker b#@ch? I've heard that lingo but don't want to go there!
My quest over the next couple of weeks is to figure out how I should be referring to myself in this crazy motorcycle world.
By the way, only 2 more sleeps!
